Jefferson Community College was financially stable but had limited operational margin to respond to rapidly shifting regional workforce needs. The North Country region faced a child care crisis that prevented families from working and constrained employer hiring. The college needed to build workforce capacity quickly while securing external funding and maintaining financial sustainability.

The Work

As president, I led the college through strategic transformation focused on operational infrastructure that enabled workforce development:

  • Translated strategic priorities into operational execution with clear accountability
  • Aligned county and state funding partners around workforce outcomes before requesting investment
